Album of the Week.
Spoon – Lucifer On The Sofa /Lucifer On The Moon
At the beginning of 2022, the Texas band Spoon released their 10th album, Lucifer on the Sofa. It is a fantastic album. It is one of Spoons better albums. You would hear their music in tv shows, movies and commercials. They have had a fantastic career. Also good live show.
Favorite Track – Lucifer on the Sofa/My Babe
In November of 2022, Spoon released an album reimagining all the tracks on Lucifer on the Sofa. The reconstruction was by Adrian Sherwood. Adrian Sherwood is a long-time record producer from London, England. During my brief research on him, his career is expansive. He will be best known for working on Nine Inch Nails first album Pretty Hate Machine. Great Album. What is interesting is that he considers himself tone deaf. His reimaging of Lucifer on the Sofa is such a solid outing.
Favorite Track – Lucifer on the Sofa/The Devil & Mister Jones
Film of the Week

Confess, Fletch
Staring Jon Hamm, Roy Wood Jr., Lorenza Izzo.
Directed by Greg Mottola
Jon Hamm plays the iconic I.M. Fletcher, first portrayed by Chevy Chase. Hamm takes over as the reputable reporter in this mystery. Taking place in Boston, it opens with a murder. Fletch discovers a body. Who dun it? It has a great ensemble class. I really enjoyed this movie.
Jon Hamm is in it. Just watch it. Fun Film. Streaming on Showtime/Paramount +.
Vault of the Week
State of Grace
Starting Sean Penn, Gary Oldman and Ed Harris.
Directed by Phil Joanou
A throw back from the early 90s. This neo-noir crime film takes place in New York City. It reminds me a lot of The Departed. I have always been a fan of Sean Penn and I really enjoyed his performance in this. I always enjoy seeing movies where future couples play off each other. His ex-wife Robin Wright is in this. Oldman is throwing a heater, the man is possessed, it is an over-the-top performance. But it is so enjoyable. It is on Amazon Prime.
